The Rupani Foundation was established in 2007 with the mission to empower individuals and communities to achieve their full potential by advancing holistic human development. We initially provided financial stability services in Asia then expanded to establish Rupani Foundation USA with early childhood development, youth empowerment, mental and behavioral wellness services, family financial stability and literacy, workforce development, job readiness, entrepreneurship, and small business support to refugees and immigrants in the Houston area.

Job Description: Finance Manager

Location: Houston, TX (On-Site)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $70,000/year
Reports To: Director of Operations

Job Summary:

 The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all the financial activities at the Rupani Foundation USA. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant donors’ requirements, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably in the not-for-profit sector, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to the mission of the Rupani Foundation.

Specific Duties:

  1. Financial Record Maintenance
  2. a) Maintain and update financial records for all projects implemented by the Rupani Foundation, including ledgers, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  3. b) Process payments, manage bank accounts, and perform reconciliations.
  4. Financial Reporting and Analysis
  5. a) Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, and financial reports to the project management teams.
  6. b) Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  7. c) Lead annual financial audit process.
  8. Budgeting, Forecasting and Monitoring
  9. a) Manage and oversee the annual budgeting process and monthly financial forecasting.
  10. b) Lead the organization’s annual planning process.
  11. c) Collaborate with the project managers to monitor project budgets and expenditures.
  12. Compliance and Standards
  13. a) Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including donors’ requirements and tax obligations.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Accounting. A professional accounting qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in non-for-profit accounting, preferably including grant reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.

Job Title: Office Administrator

Location: Houston, TX (On-Site)

Salary: $40,000/year
Reports To: Director of Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Office Administrator to support HR, Finance, and Operations. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated problem-solver with strong communication skills, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front Desk & Communications: Answer and direct phone calls, greet visitors, and manage internal communications.
  • Data & File Management: Maintain digital and physical filing systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Office Operations: Manage inventory, procurement of supplies, and coordinate with vendors.
  • Financial & HR Support: Assist with QuickBooks Online, expense tracking, and basic HR documentation.
  • Reporting & Coordination: Prepare reports, schedule meetings, and assist the Director of Operations as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of office administration experience (nonprofit experience a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook), QuickBooks Online, and Adobe.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Punctual, self-driven, and adaptable in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred (But Not Required):

  • Familiarity with nonprofit operations or early childhood education programs.
  • Experience with grant documentation or donor management systems.
